Beach Bag

Happy Monday and happy spring holidays to all mommies and children on school holidays!
I have to admit I love the holidays, I love that there is no morning rush, no lunches to pack, no activities and most importantly I have my Miss M home and I love every second.

So now that this warmer weather has come I know we will be spending more time at the beach. We love heading down to the beach, swim in the sea, build sand castle, finding sea shells (our favorite) and eating lots of ice-cream.

I have a bag packed and ready to go every beach season so I know that when I head out half the work is already done.

So first I needed my trusty beach basket, I love this little basket I got it at a market a year ago and I absolutely love it!

Here is my little bag full of goodies I will always need.
  • The children's goggles
  • Baby wipes
  • Sunblock
  • A hair brush

It is nice and handy in this bag and it can easily be wiped down and rinsed from sea sand.
We need our hats ALWAYS!

The beach is no fun without our beach toys, I kept ours in the original bag, I like it as I put them all in and rinse them under the tape and the sand runs out.

Beach towels.

Now we are all set to head out the 4 of us to enjoy some much needed sun and family time.

I like to leave it on the coat rack so it is easy to just grab when we head out.

There is a few other things that I will need that I can only pack on the day.
  • Snacks
  • Camera
  • Cover ups
  • Drinks
  • And lots of excitement!
Happy Holidays my blogger friends and I wish you a lovely, fun and happy time away from school and quality family time!

A little boys dessert table!

Happy Weekend! and I do hope that you are all having a lovely one.
So what seems like yesterday but was actually 2 years ago my sweet gentle kind little boy turned one.
This party was the start of my love for doing parties. I really put my full heart into this party as my little boy is very special to me.

My theme well was just more a color theme, blue, red, green and yellow. I loved all these bright and happy colors together and it made me really happy as there was so many choices to choose from.

So here is the work that I did. This table always makes me smile cause I enjoyed this party so much.

The table has all the colors in it and it was so simple to do. The boxes are covered in paper to match the theme as is the hats, cupcakes, lollies, marshmallow pops and pop corn.

We had a little drinks table.

And we had this party is our little townhouse, somehow we fit in all of our guest a bit squashed but everyone was happy.

Hanging lanterns, easy but pretty.

A few games, pin the nose on the clown.

Inside we had the food, streamers and balloons.

And again my amazing baker friend did gorgeous cookies for my birthday boy and for the thank yous.

She used all the theme and colors and they looked gorgeous on the lolly table!
Thank you again my friend you are amazing!!!

I love doing this for my kids so I can't wait for their birthdays to roll around so I can do it all again.

Have a lovely and happy day my friends!!

A frame tray

Happy Friday my friends and a very happy day to you all! I cannot believe it is Friday already again, the weeks are just flying by.

So today I am going to link up with a new blog I have found and really enjoy.
http://www.thehouseonhillbrook.com/ this lovely blogger Stephanie has a wonderful happy and bright colorful blog full of organsing and home ideas .

She has a pinterest challenge going and I thought I would jump on board!
I know I love to Pin so many different things for my home, cooking and organising my list goes on and on.

So this was my Pinterest inspiration I wanted to try and make for myself.

I was so excited to get started with this project!

So this is what I started with. A frame, material and my stationary.

I cut the material to size and placed it in the frame.

And here it is, my own frame tray. I am so happy with it, I can now carry my blogging materials all around the house with me, from upstairs to downstairs or even in the garden to enjoy this lovely spring weather.

I carry all my stationary with me and my little notebooks so I can write all my blogging stuff down.

This project was so simple and easy but I will use this tray all the time now!
I love the color, the usefulness and most importantly I have done it on my own so I will love it even more.

Thank you so much for the inspiration http://www.thehouseonhillbrook.com/
Drop by this lovely blog ladies you will never want to leave.

Party Planning

Happy Thursday my friends and I hope that everyone is having a lovely day.

So today I wanted to chat about party planning! My loves are organising, pottering around my house, trying to cook and bake, cups of tea and well just being a mommy. I also love to organise my kids birthday parties and I love to attempt a lolly table. I have done one for the past year for each of my kids and I have enjoyed it so much.

So today I will show you what I have done for my little Miss M last year.
We decided to do a cup cake party! This little girl love to cook and bake so I knew this would be one of her best parties yet.

We had a lovely lady come in and she was amazing! She had it all set up, the cupcakes, decorations, the cutters, boxes and knowledge.
It was so much fun ( even the mommies got into it and enjoyed it).
The girls got 6 cupcakes to decorate and got to take them home afterwards.

So here are a few photos of the lolly table.

We had an ice-cream dessert table this year as ice-cream is her favorite thing in the entire world!
I had the toppings in all the pretty jars and the girls had a choice of a cup or a cone.
These GORGEOUS biscuits were made from a dear friend of mine. She is the most amazing baker you will ever come across and she has talent beyond words!
These little cookies were part of the thank you to the girls for coming.

These cookies are just as yummy as they look!

The cake had to be a giant cup cake of course.

And the Thank you bags. I wanted to stick to our theme and so I made these little bags full of cupcake goodies.
Each girl had the bag with her name and a baking utensil hanging from the handle.
Inside we had a box of cup cake mix and in pass the parcel we had cutters, sprinkles and all types of goodies that they could use to bake.

This is the dessert table! I enjoyed doing it and my birthday girl loved it all!

The cupcake making was just as much fun and I am sure the girls loved it!

Here are some of the lovely yummy and beautiful work these sweet kind lovely girls did.

The whole party was so much fun and I enjoyed setting it up and most importantly I enjoyed seeing the fun these little girls had all together.

Have a lovely Thursday my friends!

It is all about red today!

Happy Wednesday! and I hope that you are all having a lovely hump day.
So this Monday just gone my Little Miss M turned 7. I am not sure how or where that happened.
I remember the day she arrived into this world like it was yesterday. She bounced in with a two hour labor and she has been that way ever since, energetic, kind, loving, she does everything with her full heart and our little girl is our heart and soul. She changed me a young 20 year old mommy, I always call her my angel child as I believe she came to me at the right time in my life.
Her heart is as big as any I know, her kindness is never ending, she is the best little friend and adores each of her friends with all her heart and well I love her to the moon and back times infinity as I tell her.
If I could be more like anyone else it would be my little girl.
I sat chatting to my husband and I realised she is the only girl in my life, I have my little boy, husband, dad and brother and it made my heart fill up and I feel so grateful I will always have her, my best little friend.

So to celebrate her birthday on Monday we had the family over, red is one of her favorite colors so I had to use it this year.

It was really easy and simple but my birthday girl loved it so it made me very happy.

Simple setting to hold the plates and cutlery.

A few pom poms here...

And again the table, I loved the red and white together.

Her birthday cake was so much fun to make and so easy, a friend of mine had it at her baby shower and I had to try it. The sponge inside is red and blue layers.

A few thank you bags for the guest, again simple and easy.

And balloons for the little kids.

Each year seems to be going by to fast for me, at the end of this Happy Birthday song the lump grew to big for me to finish singing cause I can't believe how fast time is going! But I am enjoying each day and soaking it all up cause as the years are going I am loving the beautiful child she is growing up to be and I am so so proud she is mine!

I love you so much my Little Miss M!

Love Mama xx
